UGANDA ‘’THE PEARL OF AFRICA’’
While visiting the beautiful country in 1907, Sir Winston Churchill called Uganda the " the pearl of Africa" indeed, Uganda is a blessed country astride the equator in East Africa with a rich and ever-fertile vegetation, a beautiful, green, volcanic plateau between the Rwenzori Mountains and Lake Victoria. After a tumultuous period of wars following the independence in 1962 peace and stability came back to the country in 1996 under Yoweri Kaguta Museveni the current President of Uganda. Visitors have come rediscovering this brilliant country, its unique birdlife, the fascinating mountain gorillas and the beautiful well looked after National parks in there natural setting.

Much of the country's 26,338 kms is impressively mountainous, the highest peak being Karisimbi (4,507m) in the volcanic Virunga chain protected by the Parc des Volcans. The largest body of water is Lake Kivu.
Rwanda, land of a thousand hills, is a tiny landlocked country in Central Africa. Bordered by Tanzania, Uganda, DRC and Burundi, Rwanda is experiencing a tourism rebound after falling off the map post-genocide 1994. The country is split by the Rift Valley and dominated by a mountain range that traverses the country from north to south. The West coast of the country overlooks the beautiful shores of Lake Kivu.
